Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

We’re offering a variety of volunteer opportunities from July through November 2025.
Here are our upcoming opportunities:

Creation of Ventilation Boxes

Volunteers with professional carpentry skills or extensive building experience are needed to construct and install 4–6 ventilation boxes to improve airflow in animal shelters and storage areas. All necessary materials will be provided on-site. This project requires proficiency with tools, precise measurements, and safe installation practices to ensure the structures are secure and functional.

Installation of Railing Around Retention Pond

Volunteers will help install a safety railing around the property’s retention pond to prevent accidental falls and protect livestock. This project involves measuring and securing posts and rail sections along the pond perimeter. Basic familiarity with tools and construction practices is preferred; materials and hardware will be supplied.

Reactivation of Large Outdoor Garden Space

Join us in reactivating a large outdoor garden space to prepare it for planting vegetables. Volunteers will clear debris, weed garden beds, amend soil, and help set up rows for future crops. No special skills are required—just enthusiasm and the ability to work outdoors, bend, and lift light materials as needed.

Moving Goat Pens Around the Property

Volunteers are needed to assist in relocating portable goat pens to new grazing areas. This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds while working as part of a team to reposition fencing panels and secure them in place. Experience handling livestock is a plus but not necessary.

Assisting with Mixing Goat Feed

Help prepare nutritious feed for the goats by assisting with measuring, mixing, and distributing grain and supplements. Volunteers should be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working in an agricultural setting. Training will be provided on proper handling and safety.

Electrician to Fix Grow House Fans and Electricity

We are seeking a licensed electrician or an experienced electrical professional to diagnose and repair the grow house ventilation fans and electrical system. This project includes troubleshooting wiring issues, replacing components if needed, and ensuring all electrical work meets code for safe operation.

Help with Completing a Deck

Carpenters or volunteers with construction experience are invited to help complete the installation of a deck. Tasks include cutting and securing boards, installing railing, and finishing surfaces. All tools and materials will be provided, and the project will be overseen by an experienced lead builder.

Installing Wood Beam Retaining Walls

Strong volunteers are needed to help install wood beam retaining walls to stabilize soil on sloped areas of the property. This work involves lifting and positioning heavy beams (up to 100 pounds), securing them in place, and backfilling with soil. Experience with landscaping or construction is helpful but not required.
